While Eldair was mostly in written form in it's early years, it was my last year in college that I decided to turn it into a comic for my BFA project. I spent months designing things from clothes, environments, and even doors. I used to think I was busy in college, but looking back I'm realizing how much time I really had to dedicate to my art. I'm glad I had that time to really do initial development on this story because it's helped me out over many many years. I still try to spend time designing things in this story with a lot of thoughtful consideration, but sometimes deadlines force me to spend less time than I'd like fine-tuning aesthetics and considering exactly how a character might decorate their house.
